VS's hype for this sale always makes me feel very stupid. For instance, this time around, I want F.F.Frankenstein and Trauma. And maybe one or two of the secret titles, depending on what they are. The ad copy is always hyperbolic, confusing (to me) and geared to create as much FOMO as possible. Do I pre-order Frankenstein now and get "the best price"? Trauma can't be pre-ordered by itself at this time? Will the secret titles still be for sale after their identities are known?

Agreed on all points. Was gonna get Trauma but can't order it, so I guess they don't want my money. Also, secret titles are stupid.

I love VS, but I only find myself wanting one title a month on average, so I'd never go for a mystery title or yearly subscription.

I'm the same, more or less. I usually like one or two a month and I don't subscribe. I'd be lying if I said I didn't get excited every time they do their monthly title reveals, though.

I put Babyface on today and was reminded of the print damage to reel 5.

Did VS ever release an updated version of the movie? And what about The Undertaker? Parts of it were taken from a VHS workprint. Has an updated version of it been released?

Don't get me wrong. I'm glad that I have these releases but if there are updated versions of one or both I'd like to buy them too.

Nope. No better elements have turned up for Babyface or The Undertaker that I'm aware of. And in the case of The Undertaker I doubt VS would have released a composite print if they were confident that the missing negative material could be located.

A subscriber newsletter posted on Facebook has revealed a few more upcoming titles for next year including Horror High and Arabella Black Angel. Apparently a release of Patrice Rhomm's Draguse (starring Monica Swinn! attn: Franco fanatics) was scheduled for this year but has been delayed.

And the big news for fans of the inimitable C.J. Laing: there's a double feature of Roberta Findlay's Anyone But My Husband and Sweet Punkin coming in January! I believe it's Sweet Punkin in which the narrator says, during a threesome involving Laing, Tony 'The Hook' Perez, and John Holmes, "Wow, she must have a yard of cock inside her!"
