Winterbeast is one of those movies I clump together with Frostbiter: Wrath of the Wendigo and The Dark Power...i group those 3 together in my mind, for some reason.

Probably because of the heavy Native American vibe throughout all three.

I think you called it, Lorne! That's got to be why When i think of one of those titles, I sometimes confuse it with the other. For a while, years ago, sometimes I would confuse Winterbeast with Frostbiter, probably because I saw them both within a short time of each other.

Frostbiter is something else... I think HBO, Cinemax, used to run Troma movies often, for about a year. I forget what the deal was with it, but that led to my introduction to Frostbiter. I need to watch it again, a fresh viewing, sometime. The most memorable part of Frostbiter has to be the damn Chili Monster, and it's song... IT'S CHILLIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!. Frostbiter was one of those things I had to have on DVD as soon as it got released, years ago. Dark Power I had on VHS as a blind buy, and later got the DVD for that from VCI. I think the Winterbeast folks released the DVD years back, I recall it being a small run, from some small company.

Speaking of those films, i look forward to Antlers. I wanted to see that shit back in 2020, then all the movie theatres shut down.

I'm ecstatic that you really liked this. Too few people have seen it. I was privileged to include a sidebar review of this flick along with my EQUINOX article about 15 years ago (that got published thanks to a contact I made in the old DVD Maniacs website).
