There is terrific news from the great folks at Vinegar Syndrome for 2018 yearly subscribers. Regarding the two January commemorative blu ray sets, the two limited edition sets will each feature 5 blu ray upgrades of titles previously available on dvd! One set will be hardcore and the other will be horror/exploitation! People who went for the 2018 VS year package will get these free!
So I never really paid much attention to VS because I don't watch porn and I thought they were basically just hardcore, but their Black Friday marketing totally sucked me in! LIQUID SKY was one of my favorite rentals back in the mid-80s VHS days and a movie I had completely forgotten about. Just watched the blu-ray and it is still one mind-blowing little film, except now it also looks terrific. Whatever happened to Paula Sheppard?
I also got THE BEES and PSYCHO COP RETURNS from VS, and pre-ordered their January 2018 blu-ray package with PENITENTIARY, LUCIFER'S WOMEN and FUGITIVE GIRLS. Now I'm a big fan!
I remember a friend & I renting Liquid Sky when we were in high school. He liked new wave & I hated the movie. That's all I remember. Now, my opinion would probably be different.
I have Trip with the Teacher & Count Dracula's Great Love on the way. Should show up next week.
The few comments I've read about Pick Up sound very interesting...
I liked PICK UP alot when I watched it on one of those Crown International Drive-In dvd sets that Mill Creek? Brentwood? used to put out. I remember that it was a nice little film, sort of arty exploitation.

Welcome aboard, when you start digging deep into their release you realize they have been bringing great non-hardcore films for awhile now.
"To close out the year, I'm pleased to say that I've just finalized another license agreement for some wonderful horror titles (wonderful being relative, but they're all wonderful to me...and I think many of you will agree). They'll be scattered throughout 2018. As much as I'd love to drop even a single hint (cause guessing is always a good time waster), these will be kept 100% mysterious until they appear.
So, 2018 yearly subscribers, your investment has now become even better, though anyone who missed out on the full year package can take solace in the fact that most of them will be coming out in the second half of 2018, so you'll at least be partially saved if you pick up the 'halfway to black friday' package."
I was wanting to know if vinegar syndrome had any plans to release Satisfiers of alpha blue? And also they should really do a blu ray of centurians of Rome and get a commentary with George Payne I'd love to hear one with him.
