hey a blu ray of Baby Face!!! Alex De Renzy's best film!! I can't wait for this one. I hope they do a double feature of it with Baby Face 2 if possible. If not it will be great with just the original. I love Pretty Peaches, but for me Baby Face was my favorite Alex De Renzy. And on blu ry, Vinegar Syndrome is treating us right :) I actually cancelled another preorder I had placed, so I can get the Vinegar Syndrome August releases, Vinegar Syndrome's releases are becoming my most necessary purchases, they take precedence over any other releases now. And Taboo of course well it's just a masterpiece I had to have it. the comics porn, well it sounds interesting I'll love it I'm sure. There is a porn film from the 70's I was thinkin gof the other day that'd make a great release called Fiona On Fire.

what's the situation with Femmes De Sade Rakesh? I thought there just wasn't a film print so it couldn't be released? Baby Face 1 and 2 though, yeah I'm really happy about those :) Great films both of them, I am glad at least the first one will be blu ray, part 2 I don't care if it's on blu ray or just DVD, I am just glad it will be released in a good quality version, let's hope for blu ray though :) Blu ray is so much better than DVD when it's possible to release, although I understand VS financial reasons, and I'm just glad to have these films on DVD or blu ray. And certain films like the ones they included on the Night at the Po No I do not think any of those films would have benefited from blu ray releases, and DVD was fine for that. In fact that's a superb release. Every month VS surprise me with some of their releases. I wish they could get some of the Johnny Wadd films for release, those films all got poor DVD releases, and VS seems to have some contact with Bob Chinn as he's done interviews on their releases, it would be great if they could release some of the Johnny Wadd stuff from the 70's, I do not know which order the films were released or how many were made, or even if film elements remain for these films. The ones I've seen were good, but like I say poor transfers to DVD

Why can't VS just use a regular film print for Femmes De Sade instead of the negative? That's what they are doing with Taboo if I'm not mistaken right? I thought I read the negative for Taboo wasn't available yet they are still doing a blu ray of that film. I mean I know the negative will probably look better, but if they are waiting to get back a negative from some company overseas that is probably never going to happen. I'd rather see a release of Femmes De Sade even on DVD as long as it's uncut, from a 16mm print or something rather than wait 10 years while trying to get the negative back from France, if ever it's returned. Just my opinion. I think seeing the film uncut in less than perfect condition is more important than never seeing the film in perfect condition lol

they won't even be making blu rays in 10 years so don't plan on buying a physical copy to own, you will at best get a rental on some streaming site. Who knows if Vinegar Syndrome will even be around in 10 years I will never stream movies, so my days of viewing movies of this nature will end when porn companies go to streaming, I was going to sign up for exploitation.tv, but you have to create a paypal account, and I'm not doing that I don't create accounts with companies like paypal, they tried to rip me off years ago, and I will never create an account with them again.

The problem with the negative for FEMMES DE SADE isn't quite as simple as mentioned. You must remember that de Renzy was "old school" and really didn't place much value on his older films (see the interview that VS included on one of his releases). This was quite common with most of the older producers. Alpha France wanted to release the film and de Renzy sent them the negative. After around 1985, FEMMES could not be released in the U. S. due to it's content, anyone who did could have faced lengthy court proceedings and possible jail time. So as far as de Renzy was concerned, it was a "dead" film with no value in the future. I suspect Alpha France even offered the negative back but de Renzy probably told them to just keep it. So now, Alpha France won't return the negative because they know very well it would never be returned to them and they feel that they now own it. I'm sure if someone went to France, they could have a master made under their supervision but of course that would not be economical.

would Vinegar Syndrome release Femmes De Sade uncut? If not I can understand why Alpha France would not return it, maybe they feel that the film if returned to the United States would be seized or maybe destroyed in some way, like VCA did with many negatives of their films, maybe Alpha France is under that impression maybe? I don't know what the situation is, but that is possible maybe that Alpha France has that impression that the film faces possible cuts to the negative if returned to the United States? I mean seriously is VS going to leave in the bestiality? Possibly Alpha France knows this would face seizure if attempting to import it into the country?
