  • I think the lead character in "Homer, The Late Comer" is played by James E. Myers (a.k.a Jimmy DeKnight), the man who co-wrote the famous rock and roll classic "(We're Gonna) Rock Around The Clock". If you look at the pictures of Mr. Myers, he has those same "bumps" above (and one below) his right eye, the same as the guy in "Homer".

Another connection is that the first woman Homer has sex with is played by the same girl who appears in "The Swinging Playboy" (aka "The Playboys"), which has an on-screen directorial credit for Jimmy DeKnight. John Holmes' character, the one who gets all the ladies, is named Jimmy, btw.

I'd love to read more about James E. Myers film career, especially late 1960s and early 1970s. Most articles about him naturally concentrate on "Rock Around The Clock" and Bill Haley. In an article/interview with Myers in a British music 'zine "Not Fade Away" issue 16 from 1980, he mentions 350-odd film appearances, a couple of mentioned are "The China Syndrome" and the then new "King Kong" plus TV series "The Bionic Woman" and "The Rockford Files".

He has some interesting credits on imdb, too.

      • wow I love Her Name Was Lisa, but the VHS I saw it on was horrible quality, I can't wait for a Blu Ray. I hope it looks good. That is a top of the line porn film. One of Samantha Fox's best films. I can't remember everything about Her Name Was Lisa, it's been a long time since I saw it, but I also remember Vanessa Del Rio had a pretty good scene in it too.

A while back we did a long term license on the complete films of AC Stephen. Which titles would you most like to see come out first? (And, so everyone knows, this likely won't happen till 2017)"

            • My favorite A.C. Stephen film is the uncut COLLEGE GIRLS (the old COLLEGE GIRLS CONFIDENTIAL release by Rhino was missing some scenes). THE CLASS REUNION is also fun, and features some outtakes from COLLEGE GIRLS, although the two films were only produced four years apart.

ORGY OF THE DEAD is a classic, of sorts.

Did A.C. Stephen do the long-missing TAKE IT OUT IN TRADE? Probably not, but that's one that we need. It was shown in an Ed Wood film festival last year, so it's not "lost."

Nice, I dig AC Stephens. I bought that old Ed Wood box set specifically for those late period collaborations between the two men.

Orgy Of The Dead is so silly, that I loved it, those women in the graveyard stripping. I used to have it on VHS. I remember that one woman who could make her tits spin in circles haha, that is burned into my brain!! I would love to see this movie released again, just for that one scene, I have never seen any of A.C. Stephens other films, but I would pick them up also, I'm into those kinds of 70's weird films, that it looks like he made.

Notice that negative is spelled 'negatif' and the word 'erotique' is clearly visible, as opposed to 'erotic.'

                    Hmmm....

I will take a wild guess and say "Femmes de Sade". Hopefully, the legal rights have been straightened out and Alpha France, or whoever was reluctant to give it to VS, came to their senses.

                      • If VS are going to release some French XXX I hope this one is Pussy Talk, that movie is so fun, and I'm not really sure, but I think it might be one of the most popular porn films in France? I really enjoyed it anyhow. Femmes De Sade is a good film as well, I wonder how it would look all cleaned up, I have only seen it on poor quality VHS, I wonder how it would look on a dvd or blu ray all nice looking. I notice that all these films I saw on VHS and am now seeing restored on dvd and blu; ray are like seeing the films for the first time.

I would be ecstatic if VS got any 70s era Brigitte Lahaie adult titles.

                          • You know there is a film that is half American/half Italian that would be a good release by VS, Cicciolina The Roman Empress, it stars John Holmes along with Cicciolina. I actually think it was an American production? Just filmed in Italy, but I could be wrong and maybe it's an Italian film, it had English audio at least when I saw it. I consider it the end of the Golden Age, it's weird that John Holmes life kind of signaled the beginning and end of the Golden Age of porn. maybe I am wrong, but I'd say by 1988 when this film came out then golden age was pretty much ended.

                            • The reels are not "Femmes de Sade" unfortunately and it's not an European film, even though the writing is French. It's an American movie. I'm stumped. My only other guess would be Andrew Blake, but I have my doubts that he would give his film rights to VS.
