CR Release of LAST HOUSE ON MASSACRE STREET (aka The Bride) has a running time of 85 min on the cover, IMDB says it should be 85 min. The blu-ray has a running time of 76:27. Looks like another cut film from Bill.

Has anymore deets been unearthed about further cuts to Cry Of A Prostitute or are the ones mentioned the only instances on this release? Still haven't gotten my copy from diabolik yet.

I haven't read about any additional issues on Cry-Pros. I received my copy late last week but have only looked through it. The severed head issue is only a quick close-up that is missing & the dialogue, I think, I found the spot but need to take a look at the dvd-r to be sure. The image quality, overall, is very nice. It's too bad they didn't compare what they had with other versions so they could fix the issues or, at least, let buyers know beforehand.

I plan to watch the disc this week. If there are no more missing shots then it's a good release until someone releases it with the issues fixed.

Cry-Pros is the first CR release I've purchased since The Police Connection...

Yeah, it's a real shame. Especially embarrassing since it prodly proclaims "Uncut" in at least two places on the back cover (my copy arrived today, still shrinkwrapped). I doubt Bill gives a hoot, though. It sucks but it does seem this is the best commercially available version so far then. I'll see if I can put aside some time this weekend for it. It's an amazing movie.

JIVE TURKEY aka BABY NEEDS A NEW PAIR OF SHOES is a solid release from CR, really enjoyed this one. CRY OF A PROSTITUTE was a solid film as well, Silva is his most baddass here and the print and color of them film looked good to my eye, There was no color correction done on Corrupt and I found some of the flesh tones to be really pink in some scenes, otherwise a nice release as well.

The wording is confusing here. Do they have film elements for the split in half scene or not? That and the addition of seeing the entire movie in English would be the only reason I have interest in this release.

I'm not sure I've seen Cut and Run. I know it's a movie I do want to see & it seems like I would have rented it via Netflix but I'll be damned if I remember anything about it. If the CR release has everything it's suppose to or most of it & the price isn't too bad, I'll pick it up.

Nothing is missing per-se. There's a split in half scene (Think of the one from Fulci's Daemonia and you get the idea) that's taken from a VHS source because film elements weren't available. Plus there's two scenes that were in Italian as the English dubbed scenes couldn't be found even though I believe those scenes were in a Japanese VHS.

The Italian scenes wouldn't be a big deal for me (unless they didn't have Eng. subs) but it'd be nice if CR's elements had that split in half scene complete. At first, I thought "Split in half scene" was referring to a gore scene...
