  • The Synapse Films Thread

OK, so as Mike mentioned in the Arrow Maniac Cop thread, Synapse has also got the title lined up for Blu, along with Frankenhooker and The Exterminator. This is awesome in every way awesome is possible.

They've also got Frathouse Massacre coming out in August which I know nothing about. And more HD Hammer in the works.

    Covers!

I've really got to get to and support Don's label in a big way! As I've already mentioned, he's the only one with the handful of Aussie cult classics that I want (now that they've all gone OOP down here), and they've still got some of the Panikhouse stuff as well as some cool Japanese stuff on their own label. Plus, there's Impulse too...

I'm anxious for those Impulse pink films to hit.

Thundercrack too. Though I'd imagine there's probably a lot of work involved in getting that transfer up to snuff.

That's right! Don and Jerry have licenced a bunch of Pink Eigas! I forgot about that -- those would be cool too! Oh my shrieking bank account...

PS: They shoud have used The Exterminator's tagline that they used down here: "If you're lying...I'll be back!" (RIP, Mr. Ginty)

I don't know much about the movie but I'm guessing it's this one here.

Haha! I am a happy camper! I read somewhere recently that Don located the original Dolby stereo tracks for The Exterminator. We all finally get to hear the damn thing in stereo, at last, after years of pissy mono. And lossless too.

Fango's got some good info on some upcoming releases here.

Countess Dracula on Blu-ray and more Coffin Joe (reissues of At Midnight I'll Take Your Soul and This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse - no word on format, fingers crossed for Blu-ray).

Spoke to Don May, jr., and he said, regarding RED SCORPION, it will be a longer cut; NO commetary with Dolph, just an interview; and some other surprises, of which he wouldn't name. I like RED SCORPION.

I do too. I wanted to call my son Dolph, after Lundgren, but the missus wouldn't have it - not even as a middle name. {Sad face.} I've been waiting for a satisfactory release of RED SCORPION for a long time. I'm looking forward to the Synapse release.

RED SCORPION will be a DVD/Blu-Ray Comb. Tom Savini is working with them to provide some extras.

Speaking of Patty Mullen, here's some images from her Penthouse shoot...

Patty Mullen @ The Scandy Factory (very NSFW, obviously!)

...must say, I was pretty impressed with those pics as you get to see her outside of all that makeup. ;)

Showing her scar's a bit full-on though, yeah? ;) (Nah, not really...God bless her, and God bless America for pornography!)
