I'm not sure if you just never removed it from 'Future Undated', but I think 'Fight For Your Life' won't be getting the Blu-ray treatment, because the negative was lost in a hurricane...

"I must say that there is a film that I have in my library called Fight for you Life. I love the movie and I wanted to put it out on Blu-Ray. So, after doing the SD transfer 10 years ago on the film, I shipped the negative back to the rights' holder on the film, in New Jersey. Just two weeks ago I contacted the rights' holder, looking to re-access the negatives, so that I could make an HD transfer of the film, and she informed me that two years ago, during Hurricane Sandy, her basement flooded and the negatives were destroyed. [Pause] And, you know, I didn't make the movie, it's not been a big seller for me, it was not an economic loss for me, but I was devastated with that news. To me, it tells me just how fragile movies are. In the blink of an eye, a movie can no longer exist. So, Fight for Life in future media will fade away because the only thing that exists on the movie, today, is a 10-year old SD transfer. With [the negatives] lost, Fight for Life will be lost decades into the future."
Situations like this are why I feel it is pretty much a sin not to do the absolute highest possibly quality scans for pre-mastering. Don't cheap out and do a 2k master, do a 4 or 8 so there is an optimal source for the future for archival and production purposes! Every label that did SD scans when they could have at least done 1080p scans fucked up as far as I am concerned.

Even though the negatives were destroyed, B.U. were still attempting to put something together possibly utilizing 35mm prints -- so I left the title on the list. However, I just called them to get a follow-up (since it had been like two years) and was told the positives weren't in good enough shape to get a quality HD scan from, so it's currently off the table. As such, I'll remove FIGHT FOR YOUR LIFE from the roster.

Frank Henenlotter has joined the AGFA advisory board.

        https://www.americangenrefilm.com/fr...dvisory-board/

        Also, note this:

"Last year, AGFA partnered with Lisa Petrucci and Something Weird to begin redistributing their titles theatrically and on home video, starting with THE ZODIAC KILLER. Frank Henenlotter will play an important role in this partnership by contributing advice, commentary tracks, and liner notes to the cause. In addition, AGFA and Something Weird will resurrect the “Sexy Shockers” line in 2019 for a special Blu-ray set."

I hope we'll get Blu-rays of the OLGA films. SWV has the original negatives, so the quality would be fine for Blu-ray.

AGFA are showing She-Mob at Fantastic Fest, which would indicate that the restoration is done so maybe a Blu-ray is slated for release sooner rather than later.

SHE-MOB should be some time in 2020, according to Lisa.

That's beautiful - the only one I already have is NIGHT FEEDER.

When the hell is the book coming out?
Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?

"Unleashed from the video vaults of the American Genre Film Archive (AGFA), AGFA MYSTERY MIXTAPE #1 is a brand new compilation of the most electrifying found footage mayhem that you'll see this week. For our kick-off tape, we've curated an hour-long joyride through the hallowed halls of “behind the scenes” horror.

Our team has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support during these difficult times. So this is our way of saying thanks! The price is set at 99 cents, which is the lowest possible option that Vimeo offers. We want everyone to be able to enjoy this. But if you're able to donate more to our non-profit mission, there's also an option to pay what you want.

Thank you for your continued support, and remember: “DIDN'T YOU USED TO BE SATAN?”"
