On Facebook they're saying that they seriously underestimated the number of films they'd have available at launch. So we're looking at well over 250 slices of crispy exploitation goodness.

        Poor Pretty Eddie!
I missed it at this years eXfest and my wife was raving about it. Can't wait to finally see it.

Can I ask a really annoying/dumb question? Im going to buy a roku specifically for this. How does it work? Once I hook it up, do I choose the channels I want and pay a monthly fee? Thanks.

Yep. That's all there is too it. And there's plenty of great free stuff on various channels to enjoy too (Shout! Factory has an awesome free channel for example).

Cool! Does Something Weird still have a channel on there too?

I think it's gone but Full Moon's channel has a bunch of SWV stuff on it.

Yeah, I bought a Roku stick a couple months ago in anticipation of Exploitation.tv and it's been incredible. There's so much great stuff on there. I'm especially fond of B-Movie TV and Zom-Bee. This is easily the best $30 I ever spent.

Once again, I'll ask the same question, as it applies to other, non-VS channels, though. SWV was, last time I checked, not available in Canada....is it now, and are the other channels available in Canada?

Zane I'd think it varies by channel. No easy answer for that unless a Canadian Roku user can chime in here... or someone from VS.

Thanks, Ian. I figured as much, but thought I'd ask anyways! My old Roku died, so I can't check for myself, or else I would. Guess I'll have to just invest in a cheap one for now!

From what I've read if you register for a US Roku account you can add US only channels, but some (many?) of them will still block you by IP. I'm just guessing here but I think this would be more of a problem for the vanilla mainstream apps like US Netflix or Amazon then it would for the free channels that show the fun stuff. And as far as I know, the SWV channel doesn't exist anymore period.

Ryan revealed on the Blu-Ray.com forum that
"At launch, we'll have a good amount of titles from Severin Films, Massacre Video, Distribpix and even a title from Vagrancy Films. We'll be adding more and more labels to the mix in the coming months."

Sounding better and better all the time.

And, in order to have a US Roku account, you have to sign up with a credit card with US mailing address, unless you google the ways around it.
