I've always thought of 'Andreas Schnaas fans' as a theoretical concept rather than something that actually exists.

I enjoy the Violent Shit movies for the over the top nonsense that they are and for the creative as insane gore effects. I haven't seen Anthropophagous 2000 but would be willing to give it a fair day in court, probably with a 12 of cheap beer and a bag of Doritos on hand. I wouldn't go in expecting a high art film by any stretch.

I enjoy a good Z grade shit film every now and again myself but Schnaas does absolutely nothing for me. He could be one of the worst director's of all time (at least Franco and Ed Wood could keep the camera focused and steady). But I don't think I've ever encountered fans of Schnaas but somehow his movies make a profit.

I dug the VS movies and Nikos, but don't think I have seen much else. Is that enough of a viewing spectrum to make me a fan? Not sure. I like a lot of Olaf Ittenbach's stuff too, though he tends to have better production values even if he is working in the same sort of low budget underground gore arena.

I never got into Ittenbach either. But before you think I'm a film snob I did kinda' enjoy Das Komabruetal Duel.

The only Schnaas movie I've seen is ZOMBIE 90: EXTREME PESTILENCE, which didn't do much for me at the time. I remember sort of enjoying DAS KOMABRUTALE DUELL (not by Schnaas, but Heiko Fipper, if anyone cares) also, though quality in this type of thing is probably best judged by (as Ian said) the insanity of the F/X.

The fetus-eating scene in Schnaas' version is ghastly. Definitely a late-term abortion and nothing is left to the imagination.
Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?

No, it was Unearthed who did the DVD.
