Less than $300 away with 8 days to go, I'd say the chances here look pretty good...

$90 to go now, it's in the bag surely?!?!?

I'm very happy this is going to be a reality and am delighted to have backed it. Man, this film is so great i think i'm going to have to watch it again tonight. This is one film that does not suffer from the english dub, it's insanely entertaining!

Hey guys, I really don't know what to say.
A simple "thank you" ain't enough but it comes close to what we wanna say.

So, THANK YOU all for supporting this campaign.

We're delighted and pleased how many backers believed in the success and finally made the goal.

19 backers to go before hitting 500...curious what the unannounced DVD will be?
Congrats on this successful run and also on branching out to the US :)

An overdo update swiped off of FB:

" Bloody Friday is maybe our biggest project so far and since it is also one of our own personal faves, we try to make it as perfect as possible.
The scan is done and we're talking about a 2k scan with exactly 139.248 single frames!
This must be restored and since we announced that the material is not in the best shape, it's a hell of a work, but it looks amazing already.

We also digitized the original German 17,5mm mag track and Bloody Friday had never sound such as fresh and chrystal clear as now.
Picture and sound will guarantee an all new film experience!
Trace down the tracks was also quite an adventure.

                  As for the extras:

We already have interviews with actors Gianna Macchia and Horst Naumann (93 years! He's wearing the original outfit from the movie!)
And of course, there is much more in the pipe, like commentaries and also a look into the background of the movie."

                    An update!

Shame on us! We apologize for the big delay in the long-awaited update. We get a lot of e-mails from you guys, and really appreciate your patience. The last couple of months have been extremely busy with a lot of projects, but we are still on track and we think, it's time for an update, right? Since there are many extremely positive developments, it's actually a massive update.

1.) After we reached the goal, we made the anticipated 2k scan in Munich in the Arri lab. The interpositive was scanned on a ARRISCAN and result was totally stunning. Arri did a marvelous job and delivered 139.246 single frames of the greatest German exploitation film ever made! Restoring nearly 140.000 frames is a hell of a job, we can tell you that, but we enjoy every bloody second.

Two captures of the raw scan:

First restoring test captures (both work-in-progress, NOT final)

2.) While restoring the image, we found that the original track was useless and sounded awful, so we thought it would be best to improve the audio as well. It was quite an adventure to dig in the vault and we finally found a treasure that would make Indiana Jones green with envy. We discovered the original German 17,5 mag track which was used in 1970. After digitizing this material we were totally overwhelmed by the results, because BLOODY FRIDAY sounds crystal clear better than ever.

3.) We announced the Italian version during the campaign after we got the green light from the licensor, but we may have jumped the gun... After announcing, we searched the world for a superior source than the VHS. Months were passing by and we dug deep in every archive but had no luck. It seems that this film is totally missing in Italy. But things changed in our favor this week, when the lovely UPS driver arrived. The poor guy carried a heavy package and didn't realize that he was actually about to make a lot of people happy: A 35mm print of the Italian version of BLOODY FRIDAY, or as it was called in Italy: VIOLENZA CONTRO LA VIOLENZA

We finally got it! It's not in best shape, and anybody, who ever made experience with Italien prints, knows exactly what that means. BUT it is a 100% improvement over the old shabby New Pentax videotape and we're are more than happy.

4.) As for the extras: We still wish to keep a secret on what is in the pipeline. We have a time schedule now for new interviews with cast & crew, and we still hope to get two very important interviewees, but convincing them to participate has been a challenge. Actors Gianna Macchia (who will appear in ZOOLANDER 2 by the way!) and Horst Naumann are in the can already.

This is it for now. Again, we apologize for not giving an earlier update. But don't worry, BLOODY FRIDAY is coming and it's gonna be HUGE!

We made a new update and have some cool news

                              https://www.kickstarter.com/projects.../posts/1477224

Daniela Giordana joined the list of our interviewees and did not only an interview but also a commentary for the film.
Her memories are excellent and highly entertaining.

Prepare yourself for an ultimate edition of BLOODY FRIDAY

I wish I had got in on this. I was just getting started with Eurocrime at the time and now I'm hooked. The film looks amazing.
