Probably not coincidently, 88 Films just announced a UHD edition is coming soon.

I can't help pointing out that 88 seem to have created that pic by putting the inlay from their old blu-ray edition of the film in a 4K case... but then want to throw myself in front of an actual Late Night Train for even noticing / caring about such nonsense.

Excellent, soul-witheringly depressing movie however - one of the rare examples I think of a blatant rip-off which is actually better than the original hit which inspired it, and further proof that Lado was a top notch filmmaker.

Nice drop. Might do the Just the Discs bundle depending on the final reveal, even though I'm not a Franco fan. Willing to overlook that one.

I'm probably the only one here who saw this at the Drive In in the late 70's (cause I'm so damn old). Had no idea of what to expect and afterwards felt it was a better film than LHOTL, but that isn't saying much as I hated Last House. Not sure it is something that I would want to sit through again. Who knows?

Don't remember being that into this one when I picked up the DVD but I don't really remember it. Based on the Christmas comments I've seen here and elsewhere I'll probably give the old DVD another spin next month though!

First saw this on a super-obscure VHS under the title TORTURE TRAIN, released on the JEF Films label.
              VHS will never die!

An amazing, actually well made film. Even so, not sure about double dipping when there are so many unseen films out there for me to catch up on.

Coming in April from 88 Films!

Originally banned in 1976 by the BBFC and a few years later becoming one of the original casualties of the infamous Video Nasties hysteria, Night Train Murders AKA Last Stop on the Night Train is still a forceful and challenging picture. It focuses on two young girls who experience a journey of unimaginable terror at the hands of deranged psychos as they journey between Germany and Italy. Violent and thanks to its hugely controversial content, the movie is still highly regarded as an exploitation classic. Using the dark terror of the young girls’ torment it juxtaposes it with the season of goodwill which makes the situation even more unbearable. Visually raw and uncompromising, this is one ride you’ll never forget.
