I think Redemption was toying with the idea of releasing PHANTASMES. I certainly wish they would.

A good while ago, I am sure that Redemption/Kino mentioned that Phantasmes and the uncut version of Franco's Female Vampire we possibly going to be issued on a different label owned by Kino as they did not wish to put out anything with XXX footage onto the Kino label. (I think this was the uncut Female Vampire with the blow job sequence, not the XXX inserts version, though for the sake of completion, both would be good). I think Phantasmes was due to be part of this, but I also seem to remember that the rights to Phantasmes may not have been held by Redemption/Kino.
A nice version of the XXX version of Lips of Blood would be nice too. I've seen a really rough copy and its certainly an inferior version of the movie, but as part of the history of the movie, I think its a valid version that would be nice to have. I know Rollin did not like it, but sometimes that makes the background even more interesting.
I have no references for any of this information, only that I know its come up before. If I my memory is not entirely accurate, I apologise.

Just finished with The Escapees. A great upgrade for us Rollin fans. I'd love for Redemption to release Rollin's last films Night of the Clocks and The Night of Medusa (I think that's what it was called). Does anyone know what/if Redemption is working on Rollin-wise?"His lives inside of his own heart. That's an awful big place to live in."
-Billy Bob Thornton, 'Sling Blade' (1996)
"Some roads you shouldn't go down."
-Billy Bob Thornton, 'Fargo' (2014)
