  • Exorcist rip-offs

So far I've seen "Exorcismo" and "Demon Witch Child", I know I need to see "L'antichristo" and "Beyond The Door". I'm in the mood for more, so what else is out there?

EERIE MIDNIGHT HORROR SHOW isn't bad. I'm quite fond of that one. CRIES AND SHADOWS is also pretty decent, as I recall.

      Re: Exorcist rip-offs

I guess you could include "The House Of Exorcism" too... Not the best Exorcist rip-off (and I do prefer the "Lisa And The Devil" version myself) but does have its moments.

I've seen Malabimba and Alucarda but unfortunately I haven't managed to find a decent version of Magdalena.

Exorcist ripoffs are kinda' like Jaws ripoffs in that it's never been done right a 2nd time. I think the cause is that the formula is too narrow and doesn't allow a lot of creative freedom. Better films or at least fun movies take elements of Exorcist or the Jaws ripoff and do something different.
