  • Italian science-fiction from the 40s

In 1943 an omnibus film called "Gli assi della risata" also fearured this short science-fiction musical, lovingly mocking Flash Gordon, Metropolis and Fred Astaire. The setting is 1999, as seen by Italian audience from 1943.

What a curiosity. Have you seen Gli assi della risata? Is it also a musical?
"I've been to college, but I can still speak English when business demands it."

Every episode has a different theme and style, but the whole film was really amazing. It was released during WWII harshest weeks, so no one noticed or reviewed it, and only in recent years the film has been rediscovered.

Interesting. I'd check this out if there was an English friendly release. Looks fun.
