This is the only Daniel White music I can find that features music from Franco's films. This features the themes from Female vampire and some music from Midnight Party, not too sure on the rest

Cheers Ian. Its really hard tracking all these down. I love certain scores and themes including some of the wackier ones but they are scattered about all over and are really hard to find.

Damn, I love the Bruno Nicolai scores he did for Franco so much! I have all the above save COUNT DRACULA. Digitmovies released NIGHTMARES COME AT NIGHT, 99 WOMEN, A VIRGIN AMONG THE LIVING DEAD and EUGENIE DE SADE 70 on cd. I'm sure a lot, if not all, of them are really hard to find now but you can always check their website. JUSTINE was released by PAN CD.

Along with his giallo stuff (mostly for Sergio Martino), I think the Franco stuff is the among the best soundtrack work Nicolai did.

I also have this cool little item. Besides Soledad singing, there's a really catchy song about her by an indie rock band.

And don't forget the awesome VAMPYROS LESBOS disc from Crippled Dick!
I don't go to church. Kneeling bags my nylons.

Oh yeah. Forgot about that. One of my favourite soundtracks ever, which I've also owned forever.

By the way that Distortions album by Blue Phantom sounds awesome. Just listened to some soundbites from it. If you like the music from the Arno/Romay hunt scene then I'm sure you will like the rest. I think there is some other music used from the film too.

The Nicolai scores are on amazon I think , but expensive and also Beat Records in Italy sell them, the same place where I got my copies of Fabio Frizzi scores.

Blue Phantom (one of my favourite records ever from before I even knew it was featured in Eurocult films) is also used in "Sinner".
In fact, a lot of Italian library music is used in Franco's films. This one is used in the ferris wheel scene in "Sinner":

And don't forget about "Sexedelic" and "Psychedelic Dance Party: Vampire Sound Incorporated", German library LPs I think, they were used for "Vampyros Lesbos".

Re: Music from Jess Franco films

Also there's a couple of limited edition Lucertola Media CDs from the mid 90's - "3 Films By Jess Franco" which has music from Vampyros Lesbos, She Killed In Ecstasy and The Devil Came From Akasava, and also they released "The Bloody Judge" soundtrack too

I forgot about this one, I have it. 3 scores by Gerhard Heinz, All Score Media released it. BLOODY MOON is my favorite of the three...some super catchy disco on that, like Holiday Feeling.

I just wished that there was more out there, at least if there is, we become aware of it. Watched Sexos abiertos last night and apart from the fact that its become one of my favourite Romay appearances, it has a pretty cool Rio carnival vibe to the score. Its by Pablo Villa, which I believe is a pseudonym for Daniel White. This name was used in quite a few Franco films, but there appears to be nothing out there, apart from whats mentioned.

                            Here's something new.

Although Jess Franco is best known to the rest of the world as the legendary director of B-Film classics of the type that went onto make up the soundtracks on the Vampyros Lesbos CDs, this CD has him leading a band in a set of new recordings of music inspired by his films of the 60's and 70's. The music is nice and sexy, with a good European cinematic groove to it, and lots of nice moments that have a crime jazz feel or a soft porn funk sound. Franco himself plays keyboards, and the "B Band" features Clark Terry on trumpet, Carlos Pino on electric guitar, and Maurice Vander on piano. As with all the Crippled Dick titles, this one has excellent packaging, and a very sexy set of photos and notes! Link

Hardly. Appreciate the post though. I've owned this for years, around the same time as the Vampyros Lesbos sexadelic dance party release methinks.
