I wasn't familiar with MARKETA LAZAROVA (Czechoslovakia, 1967) but Criterion is releasing it in June on Blu-ray and DVD so I thought I'd check out a couple of clips on YouTube. It is definitely on my radar now. There's an air of Jodorowsky and Tarkovsky about it, which is enough to peak my interest. That and it deals with Christianity confronting paganism.
