Clocking in at 74 minutes. At least that's what Amazon has it listed as. Prime Franco.

        • The new redemption release of EROF is the French Version, does anyone know which, if any, disc release contains the version (Spanish?) with Lina Romay in it. She is apparently absent from this version.

Yes every single dvd version available is the one with Romay. The Tartan dvd has English subs, whereas the NSM release is English dub. The version with Lina Romay doesn't feature nudity, and adds a subplot where Lina is a gypsy girl. I like the Romay version as her scenes are really atmospheric, but don't add anything to the film plotwise really.

            • The Lina Romay footage was shot long after the production was finished, & only later added to pad the running time of the Spanish print. Franco was said to have despised the footage, & stated that the scenes should never have been added to the finished film.

Exactly. That's why the French version is much sought after and I am very much looking forward to Kinos blu-ray

I still like the Romay version, so as Ive said before the dvd is worth keeping or picking up still for this version.

                    • Is there an english subtitle srt file somewhere that syncs to the german BD of Vampyros Lesbos? Since the german BD has better picture quality than the US Severin disc.

German BD better PQ? Do you have both or something? I don't think I've ever seen a review of the German release, apart from screencaps, but personally I think Severins BD is excellent. I don't need another edition now. I'm sure there will be an srt file out there somewhere.

The German BD is significantly better looking than the US BD. Much better grain/details on the German BD. Check this out-

                          • It does seem Severin could have done better, ironic their file size is bigger than the German release.
I thought the Severin's BD looked pretty damn good when I watched it & the bonus features are killer, but that screenshot comparison is somewhat depressing.

                            • I think using the term "Depressing" is not exactly how I would describe it John. Sometimes, its far too easy to look for flaws and comparisons. I was blown away with how much of an improvement the Severin releases are compared with the dvds. Not counting the fantastic extras. You also have to take into account that The Illusions unlimited releases are now quite rare, pricey, not English friendly and have minimal extras. Take that into account and Severins wins hands down. The way people are talking is that Severins releases are naff. This is so far from the truth, barring some flaws they look absolutely stunning...lets not forget that.

                              • Lets also remember that despite any flaws (and I'm not saying there are with this release) if it were not for people like Severin and Redemption/Kino there would be little in the way of Jess Franco material on BR disc, so I'm always happy, flaws and all. Maybe I'm easily pleased.
