Finally had the time to catch up on some of the Goya releases last night. Watched Women In Cell Block 9, which I thought looked great and which holds up well despite the silliness inherent in all of it (gotta love that scene with the alligators, resulting in... the girls laying down on the side of the lack in the nude). From there, Sexy Sisters. An improvement over the DVD to be sure but the least impressive of the Goya transfers I've seen so far. Colors look a bit off, skin is a bit pink/purple in spots and the elements just weren't in great shape I guess. It's not horrible by any stretch, but they set the bar high with the other entries so I figured this would be closer to that level of quality. Fun movie though. Karine Gambier double feature night!

Sexy sisters
Ya,
I thought sexy sisters looked a little off in the colors and clarity compared to the other releases. But it is still part of the goya collection and I am glad to have it. I am thankful of these companies releasing these on bluray so my gripes will be minimal to nill. Bring on the new releases!

Die Sklavinnen was pushed back from its original date due to the state of the negative, so will be intereresting to see how that one comes out, later this month. If you have seen the original dvd, then it looks great for about two thirds of the film but about a third is inferior quality. I didn't have a problem with sexy Sisters, but to be honest, and I cant believe Im saying this...... I cant get past half way!!!! I was bored with it and Wicked women too. I think I need to have a break from Franco.

Not heard about any plans for vampyros lesbos on blu. I have however been nibbling away at Severin to find out if they would drop any hints about Franco blu-rays this year. Although they couldn't comment officially, they have claimed that Franco featured heavily in a production meeting they had. Hopefully, they are considering more Franco and make an announcement in the coming weeks. Personally, I have other franco films I would rather get released before Vampyros lesbos. But that's just my opinion.
