The audio track seems to contain the original foley too. Nice release :)

But then, the MGM BD (which I never bought due to the missing footage and new foley) is said to be very good too in that regard.'You know, I'd almost forgotten what your eyes looked like. Still the same. Pissholes in the snow'

The region A from MGM is not righteous. It has a faint brown tint over it. The flesh tones in the Italian blu and the color overall is infinitely better, going by the screencaps linked or posted somewhere on this forum.
But FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE is the blu I really want. Again, the region A from MGM has a faint brown tint over it."I've been to college, but I can still speak English when business demands it."

The MGM logo precedes the film. I'll post some more details tonight, when I've had chance to take a closer look at the disc.

One slightly irritating thing is that the post-credits title card ('Where life had no meaning, death sometimes had its price...') is here presented in German ('Wo das Leben seinen wert verloren hat, hat der Tod - manchman - seinen preis. Dies is der grund fur die jagd nach dem kopfgeld'). In light of everything else this release gets right, I can live with this.'You know, I'd almost forgotten what your eyes looked like. Still the same. Pissholes in the snow'

Incoming German BD release of FOR A FEW DOLLARS MORE from Universum Film
Originally posted by Paul L View PostSeconded! I'd like the shorter export cut on BD or, if they insist on sticking with the longer Italian domestic version, a release with the original sound mix and the material not originally dubbed into English presented in Italian with subtitles.
I like the way this was handled on THE BIG GUNDOWN.

I don't like the extended version of TGTBATU. It's too long. The narrative drive comes to a STOP a couple times. Eastwood's and Wallach's voices in the revoiced scenes sound forty years older than in the rest of the film. I do wish the regular version that I grew up with were available on blu-ray. It's on the discontinued DVD but that transfer isn't as good and not anamorphic.

Not the striking difference in color timing. It's as if a brown curtain had been lifted off the Italian and the flesh tones are more natural. This is what I hope to see in the Universum blu-ray of A FEW DOLLARS MORE.'You know, I'd almost forgotten what your eyes looked like. Still the same. Pissholes in the snow'
