  • Reality Killers

    Coming 6/10/25 from Treasured Films/MVD.

    Released for the first time ever on physical media!

    A perverse serial killer called 'The Sculptor' parades the viewer through his extensive collection of snuff videotapes. An Italian production from the creators of BODY COUNT and WITCH STORY, with a chequered and vague production history before the finished picture was shelved indefinitely, REALITY KILLERS sought to finally see light of day for a UK release until it found itself rejected for classification outright by the BBFC. Now it is finally here in its full outlaw uncut glory.

    EXTRAS:

    * From Witch Lore To Snuff Gore: New Interview with Director/Producer Alessandro Capone
    * Producing A Killing Reality: New Interview with Co-Producer Gabriele Pacitto
    * Cutting Deep: Mapping the Origin of Torture Porn: New Video Essay by Giacomo Calzoni
    * Original Production Scenes: A series of deleted scenes and alternative approaches illustrating a film that bore a very different plot to the final version
    * Teaser Trailer
    * Storyboards
    * Image Gallery

    Yep, there's a reason this was unreleased for twenty years. It's so utterly boring. 75 plotless minutes seems like twice that long. Just a series of repetitive 'plonk the camera in the corner and then shake it about a bit so we can apply some fake blood' vignettes, introduced by some fat knacker showing off his snuff collection. It would have been almost instantly irrelevant even if it had been released back then. It's not nearly as edgy as it thinks it is, there are far more subversive US films of a similar nature. Pretty laughable that the BBFC banned it, the government could have blamed it for a couple of good old fashioned murders instead of the slew of ideological and drug related ones that we get which just highlight failings in their policies.
    I'm bitter, I'm twisted, James Joyce is fucking my sister.
