  • The Nastassia Kinski appreciation thread (NSFW)

Nastassia Kinski And the Serpent, by Richard Avedon, 14 July 1981.

I know beauty when I see it.
Her lower lip is obscene and an invitation at the same time.

She was achingly beautiful and heartbreakingly vulnerable in Polanski's TESS, my favorite of her films.

Post your photos of Nastassia. Let's see more.

She was rad in Cat People. A very pretty lady for sure, but there are moments where she reminds me a bit too much of her dad.

Oh yeah. I absolutely love the 80's version of Cat People. That (alongside The Fly, The Thing and The Blob) is the reason why I'm much more tolerant of remakes than some people. Sure, most of them are garbage (but that's true of movies in general) but every once in awhile you get something like Cat People that makes a great companion piece to the original.

We played the 1982 Cat People for about six weeks. I was in the auditorium for every nude scene and for the kick ass Bowie track at the end. I have a beat up window insert for the movie too. Had the one sheet with Nasty dripping wet but gave it to my brother in law 20 years ago.

            What, no images of Nastassia?

I think the only films of hers I've seen were Cat People and To the Devil a Daughter. I liked the male actors better though because, well, I'm a girl.
