Does anyone have an opinion on the German film “Der Macho Man” (1984), starring Rene Weller? A remastered DVD was issued last year, containing both an English dub and English subtitles.
I came across a mention of this title in the long and excellent documentary (with English subtitles) on train station cinemas in Germany that appears on the “Die Jungfrauen von Bumshausen” blu-ray (which itself has an English dub option). Apparently these cinemas started by showing newsreels to travelers, becoming more and more seedy as time went on and eventually ending up as porn theaters catering to the locals. Rene Weller is interviewed and some scenes from the movie are shown. It looks interesting.
