    SYNOPSIS
An uncompromising visionary and a true maverick of European cinema, the Masters of Cinema Series is proud to present three films by Andrzej Żuławski, all making their UK debuts on Blu-ray from new 4K restorations.

Rich with multilayered symbolism and apocalyptic imagery, The Third Part of the Night is Żuławski’s highly influential debut feature film. After his whole family is slaughtered during the Nazi-occupation of Poland, Michal (Leszek Teleszyński) decides to join the resistance but descends into madness after encountering a doppelgänger of his murdered wife.

The Devil is a violent tale of Satanic seduction during the Prussian invasion of Poland in the 17th century, which proved so controversial upon release that it was banned for 16 years.

And finally, On the Silver Globe, Żuławski’s masterpiece about a team of astronauts who land on a desolate planet and start a new society. When filming was 80% complete, the Polish government ordered the production to be shut down and all the negatives be destroyed. Miraculously, the original film reels were preserved and ten years later the film was presented at the Cannes Film Festival to great acclaim.

Mondo Visiion? I know Metrograph has the theatrical and streaming rights to Possession, but I've heard MV still have the disc rights. (Even though I assumed MV was out of business.)

Coming soon from Camera Obscura, confirmed it will not be English friendly.

"Due to the numerous requests, today we want to give you a short overview of our plans regarding. Giving the Andrzej- ersuławski box: Here, the three films appear in a box titled "Andrzej altetułowski: Early Works" in the form of a stable sholder designed by the great Polish artist Marek Maciejczyk ( Maciejczyk Art ), in which elements from all three films are found. The individual films are located in narrow DigiPaks, each of which are illustrated with beautiful Polish poster motives. Part of the box (not yet pictured here on the draft) will also be an extensive little booklet with texts, among other things, by Marcus Stiglegger, Hendrik Otremba, Pelle Felsch and Daniel Artur Schindler.

There will be more information about the audiovisual extras soon, once production is completed. Kuba Mikurda's excellent documentary ESCAPE TO THE SILVER GLOBE we have already announced that in THIRD PART OF THE NIGHT it will create an archive interview with Andrzej .uławski on the disc, we can also reveal it already.

                  The mentioned three films are:

THE SILVER PLANET aka NA SILVER GLOBE aka ON THE SILVER GLObe (new 4k restoration)
DEVIL aka DEVIL aka THE DEVIL (New 2K Restoration)
THE THIRD PART OF THE NIGHT aka TRZECIA CZESC NOCY aka THE THIRD PARTY OF THE NIGHT (new 2K restoration)

Who is now surprised that THE DEVIL and A THIRD OF THE NIGHT are not announced as 4K restorations like elsewhere: That's because there are only 2K restorations for these two titles.
In addition, we will of course donate a separate Blu-ray with maximum bitrate to each of the not exactly short films to ensure perfect image quality."
