I've never heard of that but it looks as cool as it is expensive ($50+ for the BD...). I may get it, assuming there are no other ways to get this in HD ("red" version or not...) now.

Redwood Creek Films, the company behind this campaign, recently sent out their discs for another, similar campaign they did on Kickstarter for a movie called The Magician (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...on-and-blu-ray) and it appears the discs were only BD-R. Not a good sign for those that backed this... :/

...and it's a BD-R ...that cost me $60. Fuck. Maybe they'll give me a refund because of how it was falsely advertised but I'm not getting my hopes up...

Fortunately it's not as bad as I thought though. Shortly after a polite email to the project owner requesting a refund and explaining how the reward seemed falsely advertised I received a refund notification from Indiegogo. It sucks that I may not get to see this restoration but I think I would rather be disappointed by that than feel cheated.

The Inferno project literally states it comes on a BD-R.

That was added to the description today.

Heh, I actually wound up receiving this in the mail a little while back despite getting a refund and when I let them know they thanked me for being honest and told me to just keep it. Really enjoyed the movie even though I thought it looked just OK. I was also amused but not surprised to see my name in the backer credits at the end of the movie. :]
