I'm leaning towards it being Four Flies on Grey Velvet as it has a recent restoration and Arrow has said that they don't have it.
Based on the 2022 teaser reel from Severin's pop-up screening last night, it appears the Argento title is Five Days of Milan.

OK, you guys (and Ian's review here on RSP) convinced me to take the plunge and order the blu of The Killer Reserved Nine Seats from Amazon.de.
I enjoy the English dubs for most gialli - to me, it's a genre I really have trouble taking seriously (outside of a select few movies), and the sketchy dubs add to the fun of the whole affair.

Let's not forget just plain ol' bad storytelling.

yes, the two bazzoni gialli (footprints and fifth cord) definitely fall in that category ... maybe house with the laughing windows too. the rest is really simple plot wise, flooded by countless red herrings and falsified leads that may create the impression of a confusing plot.

I don't remember, I've only seen it once, but I think it had a lot of characters and dialogue, and maybe he meant that an English dub would make some of the nuances clearer for first-time viewers.

Here's what Thompson said in his review: "The NoShame disc finally presents the elusive English audio track, which is really the best way to watch the film as it conveys numerous plot points and character nuances completely lost in the Italian version. (It's also more in sync, which helps.)"

wait ... case of the scorpion's tail has a "complex plot"? to be honest I can't think of any giallo that has a complex plot. short night of glass dolls maybe. but I wouldn't call it complex, it has a unique way of presenting the story.

For me, it depends on the quality of the film. I'd much prefer to watch a dumb giallo, like STRIP NUDE FOR YOUR KILLER, with the English dub, because that familiar group of dubbers usually adds plenty of hilarity, especially when they're aware that they're dealing with a bomb. On the other hand, I'd much rather watch a decent giallo in its original language. Or if I'm seeing the film for the first time.

I remember Nathaniel Thompson mentioning in his review of THE CASE OF THE SCORPION'S TAIL that first-time viewers may want to opt for the English dub, because it made the details of the complex plot a bit easier to understand. I think that's a valid point as well.

Mondo Macabro are teasing that they're releasing a "lesser known" giallo from a new 4K scan. To be announced in the near future, it seems. What could it be? I'd love if it was one of Lenzi's gialli, which are severely underrepresented on English friendly DVD.

Same here. I usually prefer Italian but I stuck with the English dub for this one.
