    "Gates of Hell update:

Scorpion is working on finalizing the extras. Once that is done, the disc will be finalized and it will go to manufacturing.

It will be worth the wait. The new master is stunning."

I love Severin, but quite frankly that's the main reason why I'll give the 88 films release a shot, those subtitles (to put it bluntly) got on my tits.

I have it, but haven't watched it yet. Looks slightly grainer on 88's based on those caps.

                      • I think the worse encoding on the Severin disc (common with Severin) is the reason why 88 looks more grainier.

                          • Watched the Scorpion Blu of Gates Of Hell last night and aside from some very mild banding in a few spots, it's a pretty nice presentation. I don't have the Arrow disc to compare it to but it is a big step up over the old US Blu-ray.
