Kinski's Paganini Coming To R1 from Mya?

Release date is 11/8/11. Most of Mya's stuff has been less than impressive but there are actually some interesting extras listed here. Hopefully they're subtitled. I wonder if this is the same material that was on the (now oop) German DVD from a few years back?

Okay, so it's Mya which means that this is automatically a bootleg. The Cannes Press conferance is on Youtube so nothing exclusive there. It has both versions and claims to have deleted scenes... who knows what this entails.

I kinda' like this picture for the cinematography and the parallels between the picture and Kinski's twisted Autobiography.

Yeah, I like it too. Flawed, big time, but enjoyable for what it is. I'm not making any claims as to the legitimacy of this release (though all signs do indicate Mya plays fast and loose with rights) but to bootleg a two disc special edition? At least MAYBE they're putting some effort into this one.

It's funny that Kinski's biography 'Kinski Uncut AKA All I Need is Love', Herzog's My Best Fiend, and Paganini form a cohesive whole. I don't think you could watch this film without reading the book and seeing the Herzog docu. Once you put all of these projects together you get a much bigger picture on who Kinski was as a human being.
