This is one hell of a terrific film. One of the very best conspiracy thrillers of the era, and an amazing cast too - in addition to Ventura, there's Max von Sydow, Fernando Rey, Tina Aumont, Luigi Pistilli and other notable actors. One of the bleakest endings in a genre not known for uplifting ones.
