Interesting article on the making of the film.

I love Wheatley's stuff, but burnt out on pandemics, viruses, zombies, etc. I'll give it a watch when that passes.

I feel like over the last few years I've watched a lot of movies about Brits heading off into the woods and not coming back. They've tended to be on the right side of mediocre. I'd watch another.

I usually have mixed feelings about Wheatley's films (with the exception of 'Free Fire', which I 100% loved), but his stuff is always worth a watch and I can imagine this one playing to his strengths, so, yeah... looking forward to it.

Gratuitous personal note: my wife's second covid jab is in early June, so, if the film's release date is late in the month and no curveballs/crises of confidence occur in the interim, then... damn, we could be actually watching this in a cinema. Imagine that.

I'm not entirely sure why, but the trailer for this reminds me of the 2016 movie WITHOUT NAME.

Caught WITHOUT NAME on the festival circuit in 2017. Good film that gets too little love. Not sure if it ever even hit home video in any form. I can see the similarities.

Also, it has an absolutely superb soundtrack by Gavin O'Brien and Neil O'Connor.
