  • RIP Daria Nicolodi

Extremely sad. She was a major component of Argento's golden age if not just as important as him.

She was really fun to watch in DEEP RED and pretty damn sexy in SHOCK.

    RIP.
Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?

Damn, I hate to hear this. She was so charismatic and sexy in DEEP RED, unusual looking but still quite attractive. Played a huge role in Argento's rise too. RIP.

Terrible news, she added so much to Dario's films. I absolutely adore her in DEEP RED.

        RIP :(

I should imagine that only two people know the truth, but it seems like she never really got the credit that she deserved. Really good in Property is no Longer a Theft (that's the sexy one if you've not seen it!) and so charming in Deep Red. RIP.
I'm bitter, I'm twisted, James Joyce is fucking my sister.

When her and Dario split there was very obviously something missing in his films afterwards. Asia couldn't fill that void (and she's a terrible actress on top of that).

So sad to hear this. Daria rules. :(

I've always subscribed to the belief that she played a big part in the creation of 'Suspiria' and 'Inferno' (not that I think there's much hard evidence for that, I just really want it to be true), but for her acting roles alone, she's one of the greats - eccentric, charismatic and super-cool in pretty much everything she appeared in.

              RIP.

It's a shame they didn't use her script for Mother of Tears. I suppose it was an ego/money issue and either Dario didn't want to collaborate or they didn't want to pay her.

Yeah, that unfortunately seems to be a pretty common occurrence, where a female collaborator seems to be considered a muse and not an actual creative partner. She had a hand in pretty much all of Argento's great films. RIP

She was very active on Twitter. So much so that I had to unfollow because I don't like to follow accounts that push out 100+ tweets a day. But I remember her liking something I sent her which was cool.

I didn't much care for PROPERTY IS NO LONGER A THEFT, but she was definitely super sexy in it. I need to revisit that and see if it makes a better impression knowing what to expect. Maybe over this long weekend...

Interesting, I didn't know she had written one. I would have liked that, as I found even the dreadful SUSPIRIA "remake" preferable to Argento's last film in the trilogy.
