This sounds pretty awesome. According to a review at letterboxd: "French porn queen Brigitte Lahaie turns up for a few minutes in the opening reel as one of Maurel's fellow vice officers and is billed way down in the credits as Brigitte Simonin."

        Is it all-region or B?
Why would anybody watch a scum show like Videodrome? Why did you watch it, Max?

Diabolik has this in stock. It's all-region.

Where can I get this in Europe? I don't see it on German Amazon.

This arrived today and I took a quick look. I skipped ahead to the 2nd chapter and it's a shot of a fully-naked dead transsexual lying on a gurney with a huge, bloody hole in her stomach. Can't wait to check this out!

BRIGADE DES MOEURS is way more violent than any of the Italian crime film imo. The longer, international cut of the film also has got porn inserts. I think that's a no-no for German Amazon.

I got my copy today. I've been a fan of BRIGADE DES MOEURS (aka Todesbrigade aka Dí¸dsbrigaden) for a long time, and the only uncut version I've ever come across is the Danish rental video (it's longer than then French dvd).

I watched the bluray right away and to me it looked great. There are three versions of the film on the blu; the uncut French version, the uncut international version with extra sex scenes (they're not quite hardcore but still more explicit), and a version off a German vhs (pq is pretty dreadful and I assume you'd have to be a nostalgic someone who rented the German vhs back in the day to enjoy that version). There's also a trailer - also from a video tape and it looks just as terrible as the German vhs version.

But the film is the important thing here and it probably looks as good as it's ever going to look.

                          Are all versions English friendly?

I haven't checked if the German vhs version is, but the two French versions certainly are, yes.

EDIT: No subs on the German vhs version.

I got my copy here (it says it's not in stock, but it only took them a day to get it when I placed the order. I see they don't stock it at D&T either):

Hmm, it seems the German version isn't from a rental or sell-thru VHS but a "presse fassung" video tape; i.e. a version especially dubbed for reviewers. I watched five minutes of it earlier, and I was wondering why it was dubbed in such a crappy way (German dubs are usually quite good) - so that's why. Odd. I've never heard of films being dubbed solely for review versions before.
