  • Synapse Films Releasing Watch Me When I Kill

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE SYNAPSE FILMS BRINGS AN UNHERALDED GIALLO CLASSIC TO HOME VIDEO! NOW REMASTERED IN 4K!

This Halloween, Synapse Films releases the 1970's giallo Watch Me When I Kill now remastered in 4K from the original negative. Director Antonio Bido (Bloodstained Shadow) shakes up the giallo “norms” to bring you a unique take on one of Italy's most recognizable genres. Of course, while viewing this progressive-rock driven Italian slasher, don't forget your bottle of J&B scotch whisky!

Mara (Paola Tedesco), a beautiful young nightclub dancer, witnesses a brutal murder and soon finds herself stalked by an animalistic killer! While enlisting the help of her boyfriend Lukas (Corrado Pani) to track down and stop the maniac, the mystery surrounding the killings is slowly uncovered. As more bodies are found and secrets are uncovered, the truth behind the masked slasher is much more horrifying than anyone could imagine!

A stylish and well-plotted mystery/thriller, Watch Me When I Kill (aka Il gatto dagli occhi di giada) is a graphic and suspenseful Italian giallo reminiscent of both Mario Bava and Dario Argento.

May have been packaged with one of their other higher end Espanol offerings possibly.

I might revisit largely due to the extras, gotta think on this one.

Yeah, this one is pretty much a snoozer. At least one decent stalk/kill sequence but the plot is overly complicated and none of the actors make any kind of impression. The best thing the film has going for it is the Goblin aping soundtrack by Trans Europa Express.
I don't go to church. Kneeling bags my nylons.

when I first watched this I thought it was horrible and one of the weakest gialli I've ever seen. I revisited it via 88 films blu not long ago and kind of warmed up to it. the score is good and which other italian giallo can claim to have a holocaust back story? I think the biggest flaw are the weak actors and mostly unfamiliar faces, I mean who get's excited about corrado pani playing the lead in a giallo?!
