Google for a subtitle file and watch it on your computer using Vlc to put the subs on for you. It's a bit of a pain, but it works.

Somebody mentioned it's like "Friends" with junkies. It's even a TV series. Arrgh!

Danish ad-mat for the original film from 1981. The Xmas candle: it premiered here in December around Xmas.

It's funny how sometimes a bootleg beats a legit release.

Nod. It does. But so far - to me anyway - it's the best bluray release there is simply because of the subtitles. I've seen German, French and Italian blu's listed but none of them are English friendly.

I got the Spanish blu-ray today and watched it right away. It *does* have good English subs, and the picture looks good and "grainy" (but then again all I have to compare it to is an old terrible Scandi dvd). It's listed as being from 2019, so it could very well be off the restored German blu-ray - if we assume it's a boot. It does have a long copyright notification text in Spanish. The label name is Blackfire Productions. The cover lists it as being BD-r. No extras. Optional Spanish & English subs. Optional German audio and Spanish dub (the latter sounds terrible - both sound quality wise, plus the fact that the woman dubbing Christiane sounds like a woman in her 30s).

I hadn't watched the film since sometime in the mid 80s and basically dispised it back then. Now I loved it. Btw, Roland Klick was going to direct it originally. He got so far as to cast some of the teens but had a falling out with the producer and left.

I've just ordered a blu-ray from Spain and it's listed as having English subs and original German audio (and optional Spanish dub):

I don't know. It looks official to me, but you never know with those Spanish blu-rays. However, it has English subs! There's also an Italian blu-ray but sans the subs (according to Amazon). And according to dvdcompare, the German blu-ray doesn't have English subs, either.
