I actually seem to remember I quite liked this series...especially the bits with the killer were remarkably Italian~esque....the 'humor' and the girls dodgy acting skills werent great though....it was amusing to keep an eye out for clues that these were NOT actuallly filmed in Eastern Europe as the6 pretended to be...

I believe the killer used to work in a certain London collector's store if I remember correctly. That warehouse in Stoke Newington was so cold I'm sure it helped those ladies stay perky.

I did a little bit of research and there's four of these fucking movies. And they're basically horror porno's not too unlike the Witchcraft series. Only difference is that it revels in full frontal and will show non-penile penetration. So, not the kind of flicks to throw on when the kids are over.

They also have an almost bava~esque quality to them in placea.....especially the first one...

They did seem to get shittier as they went on..but still exuded the euro trash vibe they were going for...

And, yes its fairly well known who the director was hiding under the pseudonym...

Trevor Barley later sort of remade them as hardcore films; FANTOM SEDUCER 1 and 2.

I heard that....wouldn't take much to push the originals over into porn territory..practically there as it is!!!

Did the hardcore versions get rid of the violence?

They came out in 2005 from Private so it's been about 11 years since I've watched them so don't really remember the details but of course the violence would have been cut since you can't mix violence with hardcore sex on any releases now. I seem to remember instead of using a knife to stab people, they used a dildo.

I've never seen any of the Fantom Killer flicks but I did see Mark of the Whip, another Roman Nowicki/Teraz flick which happened to feature a "Fantom Whipper". Lead actress Hana Liska was sure up for anything.

Is Mark of the Whip any good & what about the sequel?

I've only seen the first Fantom Killer film. Undoubtedly the best Polish film to be shot in a warehouse in Stoke Newington. The chisel scene made me laugh like an idiot when I first saw it. The person who played the Killer used to work at the Cinema Store in London. Nice guy, as was Trevor.
