  • Who Can Kill A Child Blu-ray

Looks like this got a release in Spain. There is an English audio track on it, but no subs for the portions spoken in Spanish.

The person who posted the pictures says it is not a BD-R or a bootleg so far as he can tell.

I really dig this film. Hopefully a label over here picks this up.

      Good news :)

Imo, the film works perfectly fine without subtitles for the Spanish dialogue; the first time I saw the film was in this manner, and though my mangled comprehension of Spanish ensured I understood a good bit of the dialogue, I felt the experience amplified the sense of the two characters being 'fish out of water'.

Divisa is legit and proper pressed discs. Some years ago they started bringing Spanish (co-)produced movies out on Blu-Ray, the total planned amount at the time was 300 movies but don't what the situation is with that now.

But the quality can be something between pretty good to the most horrible thing you've ever seen. And unfortunately the quality is usually just shit. So who knows how this one looks... it doesn't matter how good the master is/was, the disc itself can be disgustingly bad.

        Here's a good blu-ray from them:

Some of Divisa's discs are atrocious, but on the other hand their Blu-ray release of Eloy de la Iglesia's CANNIBAL MAN is easily on of my favourite releases of the year.

This was mentioned in the Blood Spattered Bride thread but for the sake of including it here, Mondo Macabro are releasing this on Blu-ray in 2017.

I always wondered if Stephen King ripped this off, but looking at the timelines, he probably couldn't have read the novel or seen the film before writing Children of the Corn.

Out of control children hon feral in the absence of adult authority is kind of a common fear situation.

That said, both Children of the Corn and Who Can Kill a Child could have been influenced by Lord of the Flies, or that Stark Trek episode with the civilization of children.
