    Coming 10/27/15...

    The Stranger's Thrilling Final Adventure!

When an American cowboy stumbles upon a gypsy family in a wind-swept ghost town, they offer him a fortune to escort a princess back to her home in Spain. But this silent Stranger finds himself in over his head (and strung up by his feet) when he gets caught in the middle of an epic battle involving Vikings, the Moors, brutal barbarians, evil spirits, a raging bull, and a diabolical Shakespeare-quoting hunchback. Tired of their never-ending attempts to kill him, the cowboy arms himself to the teeth with guns, dynamite and a special surprise. Now it's the Stranger's turn to GET MEAN!

Tony Anthony (COMIN' AT YA!), Lloyd Battista (BLINDMAN), Raf Baldassarre (THE GREAT SILENCE), Diana Lorys (THE AWFUL DR. ORLOF), and Mirta Miller (EYEBALL) star in this explosive 'Spaghetti Western' directed by Ferdinando Baldi (TEXAS, ADIOS). Now Blue Underground is proud to present GET MEAN in this 2-Disc Limited Edition, featuring a brand-new High Definition transfer along with exclusive Extras for the first time ever in North America!

Good news! I still have never seen this one (and I'm not so sure it's in my wheelhouse as it seems to be pretty far from the typical sw). I'll sure give it a shot though.

I didn't know Blue Underground were still in this game. I thought they were just rereleasing old films? Good to see them dig up something that looks truely strange.

I've seen this years ago. It's an interesting film, but more of an action-adventure flick than a spaghetti. Looks like it will be a great release from Blue Underground, though. Hope they manage to get more of Anthony's films.

I'm not a fan of comedy westerns but I'll pick this up.

Looks like the first release in years from Blue Underground I have interest in. :)

I liked some other of the Anthony/Baldi westerns (BLINDMAN and COMIN' AT YA!) and Diana Lorys as a bonus sounds great. Who said it's a comedy western?

I like Baldi's films but this one has always left me cold - one of those latter-day Italian Westerns that went out of their way to be 'quirky' in an attempt to differentiate themselves from their competitors.

Still, I've not watched the film in 10 or 15 years and I'll happily buy the Blu-ray to watch it again: it's nice to see someone still releasing Continental Westerns, what with this and Arrow's recent (and lovely) CEMETERY WITHOUT CROSSES Blu-ray.

Ah I see, but I guess that's a bit misleading.

What you say Paul, is it a comedy western?

Hmm, I wouldn't describe it as a 'comedy western', really, as it's neither a comedy nor a Western, per se - even if it has elements of the Western in it. (That probably sounds like I'm being really evasive, but when you catch up with the film, you'll see what I mean.) It's more like a very lightweight, camp fantasy film dressed in Western clothing - if that makes any sense at all.

If the great Italian Westerns are like a nice dram of Laphroaig on a winter's evening, GET MEAN is like a tall glass of Pepsi Max Cherry with a yellow umbrella and a swirly kids' drinking straw that's served to you in a totally inappropriate setting (eg, during a meal at the Ritz). It's definitely a film that needs you to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy it.

Thanks Paul! That sounds great. And since I know some of the other Baldi/Anthony productions your description makes really sense to me.
