Jean Rollin porn films on blu ray

I was wondering if anyone knows if any companies out there might possibly release any of Jean Rollin's porn films on blu ray someday? I love all of Jean Rollin's films, I have every Jean Rollin blu ray that has been released and love the films. But I know he directed a number of porn films in the 70's and 80's too, I've not seen them, but wish they too could be released on blu ray as well as they are part of his filmography and I think they should be available as well for his fans. Are any other people interested in seeing these films? Or am I alone in this? Even if the films aren't great, I'd still like to see them just for Jean Rollin completeness sake. But 70's French porn films were usually pretty good, and as they were directed by Jean Rollin I kind of expect they would be better than your average porn film.

I've seen maybe three or four of them and I can only recommend Phantasmes as anything worth watching, imo. The others really show Rollin not into them at all with very lazy direction.

Oh, I agree with you. One of them had Brigitte Lahaie in it so that makes it worthwhile viewing, if only once.

His porn films are mostly rotten. Even the porn version of Lips Of Blood, Suck Me Vampire, is a waste of time.

I quite like Fly Me The French Way, that could do with an upgrade. Synapse put that out on DVD. Not H/C but still worth a look. I also like Countess X (which is H/C) which is out on DVD but not blu. I disagree slightly with them being a waste of time, they do hold an interest for sure and the films I have seen, some do have a Rollin vibe to them, but there is definitely some total rubbish too. I would add them to my Rollin collection just as curio pieces more than anything but I doubt that any company would put time into any kind of HD upgrade. I know Rollin has said he did not see much value in them as they were just done to make him some money, but somehow this adds interest to them, to me anyway.

They are certainly not as interesting as some of the Jess Franco XXX's, some of which is worth a look, but many are not even on DVD, let alone HD.

oh Fly Me The French Way from Synapse definitely needs to be on blu ray, very good film, but they also need to use the English dub for it on blu ray if they do it. There does exist an English dub for that film as something weird video once had that film on VHS with an English dub soundtrack, so why Synapse chose not to track it down and use it I have no idea, but if some company chooses to do a blu ray of Fly me the French Way they really need to include the English language soundtrack.

so over 4 years have passed, any Jean Rollin XXX films been released on DVD or Blu ray in the years since this was originally posted? lol I don't know enough French to be able to track these down on French websites, Do they even release classic French porn anymore? I think Alpha France went out of business? I had a couple of those some years ago, and they were decent quality, one thing I can't stand is when companies release a 1.66:1 film in 4:3 mode and not anamorphic widescreen.

There's an English dub track for LES DEMONIAQUES as well, but no one has condescended to use it since Something Weird's VHS release. I usually hate dubbing, but am nostalgic for this one.

I like that movie, its coming to 4k? I will definitely be getting that one, that's the first good 4k uhd movie I have heard of that I really want. Hope they include the English dub. I figure the blu ray will be region B which I can't play, but the 4K is the one I will be buying anyhow. That's the great thing about 4k, no region codes. I can't hardly tell any difference between Blu Ray and 4K, but I only have a 43 inch TV, and it was a cheap LG 4k tv, so it may not be good enough to really play 4k discs at their best. but when I get a projector, which won't be until a 4K one is affordable, right now they are really expensive, but ultimately in a couple years they will be affordable I hope. But maybe they will actually release the Blu Ray region free. That's the same company that released those classic American porn films isn't t?

yeah that's right it was wildside, I probably should buy a region free player again, they aren't expensive, I am about to stop ordering from Amazon, I don't like how they are trying to take over all online shopping, and they have become a monopoly. I am going to switch to ordering direct from the companies, and for stuff outside of the United States that's released, I can pick up imports from Diabolik for pretty much the same price as amazon, and amazon just pisses me off by not shipping my orders for like 10 days after movies are released and are listed as in stock.
