Does anyone think there will ever be English friendly releases of Jess Franco's films that contain hardcore? I mean I know Doriana Gray got a release, but the others of his seem to have been ignored. Ever since I read about A Crack For Two years ago, I have wanted an English friendly quality release of that film, it sounds so funny.
Don't Forget Severin released the hardcore version of Hot nights of Linda and its completely plausible that the hardcore cut of Countess Perverse will get a subs release courtesy of MondoMacabro if it happens. Wilde Lust is available on the same blu-ray disc as Girls in the Night Traffic. Mondo Erotico is hardcore as is White Skin Black thighs all from Ascot Elite on blu-rayLast edited by Lalala76; 01-20-2016, 04:42 PM.

Watched La noche de los sexos abiertos yesterday by way of a fun subbed tv recording. Decent quality but far from perfect. Regardless, it's an interesting movie is far one of his best. Lina's character seems to masturbate in public for a living (really) so there's lots of her doing her thing here and there's a memorably odd and entirely inappropriate use of a curling iron at one point. Franco shows up in front of the camera too in a small role. The actual murder plot that makes up the bulk of the story is pretty weak but it is reasonably well shot, nice and colorful, it has a cool score. Decent enough early 80s Franco sleaze.Rock! Shock! From Full Moon:
Worship Jess Franco's “Nunsploitation†classic “The Jess Franco Collection Vol. 6 : Love Letters of a Portuguese Nun†(1977) when it's sworn onto DVD August 18.
Released as part of Full Moon's ongoing “Jess Franco Collectionâ€, this is the uncut and uncensored version of “Love Letters of a Portuguese Nun†struck from legendary exploitation film producer Erwin C. Dietrich's brand new master.
16-year-old Maria is forced into Serra D'Aires convent, secretly run by Satanists. Her confessor is in collusion with the Mother Superior. Maria is tortured, forced into sex with men, women, and the horned Devil, and told that it's all a bad dream. She writes a letter to God, and a Knight rescues her, only to fall into the hands of the Inquisition, put on the rack, and condemned to death like Joan of Arc.
Susan Hemingway, William Berger, Herbert Fux and Ana Zanatti star in a movie so confronting that censorship bans prevented its release for two years.
The other releases in the Jess Franco Collection can be purchased at Full Moon Direct. Collecting the entire series of Franco films will result in the building of an exclusive Jess Franco painting on the spines of the DVDs.

As its getting a UK release, one would imagine its the soft cut, the running time of 79 mins leads me to believe that its the hard one. Then again the box cover says 119 mins, but I would guess this is a mis-printing of 1hr 19 mins (its not the final artwork I guess).
I have the ascot release on blu though, so I will be sticking with that.

yeah why anyone would buy a full moon dvd over the Swiss blu rays from Ascot Elite blows my mind, they are all region free I think. And even if they weren't region free blu ray players are not so expensive these days, it's worth it to get a region free player so you can cherry pick the best releases from whatever region you want.
