    Spoiler, sort of...

I just watched this last night on Netflix instant, not knowing anything about it, and it blew me away. I kept trying to think of a recent English language film that is equivalent in its impact and brutality, but couldn't really think of one right off (though I was reminded of Scorsese's take on CAPE FEAR, showcasing moral ambiguities and the trap of vigilantism).

It's amazing. Ninety-five percent of the movies I watch I forget by the next day. This one I still think of often. Must rewatch.

The thing which really does fascinate me is the idea and the strong direction of the movie which is really impressive and awesome.

I liked this quite a bit, reminded me of The Chaser.

I'm still kicking myself because I got sick & couldn't go see this movie during its limited engagement at the Nuart. It certainly is one of the more memorable genre films to have come out of Korea in recent years & Choi Min Sik is absolutely on top of his game in this one.

I still cringe & flinch every time I see that scene where Kyung Chul gets his achilles tendon cut! Yikes!
