That would be me ^^ (shibuya kotto or whatever that place which had the posters would confirm that, can't even find it now though cause picasaweb has become an excrement of a site with it's new fluffy layout, but i saved every single pink poster from there though)

intresting thing about it was most of the posters they had was (seemingly) nowhere else to be found

maybee i should put together a list with the rest of the hard to find posters, to see if anyone else have better luck find any of them.

So the poster is for a film (金髪愛欲シリーズ ポルノガール, 1972) that is part of the 金髪愛欲シリーズ series of films that a book I have seem to claim are from Nihon Cinema but distributed by Nikkatsu as part of the roman porno series in 1972. But the title is supposedly altered and the original title unknown.

This is the only poster for these films that I have ever seen. The photo was taken in a warehouse in Brooklyn NY in 2010 I think. No joke. A Swedish RP fan found the image and sent it to me.

Could it simply be a western movie? The director and entire cast seem to have western names on the poster (yet I think the book claims the director being Gen Sasaki). Nikkatsu did release a couple of foreign movies in the roman porno series but those can be found in Japanese movie databases (the ones that have more than just Japanese films in them). But these Nihon Cinema titles are not listed anywhere? In fact when I made my site I think I might have been the first one to ever list them on the internet.

The name on the poster ダナ・ケイ is probably something like Dana Kay. There is a Dana Kay on the IMDB and she is credited being in one single movie Kagami no naka no yashin (1972).

But she is also in a Nikkatsu film 金髪娘とエãƒäº‹å¸« (also released in 1972).

How about releasing stuff that has never been available on home video (including VoD) before?! (Didn't check if any of those DVD releases are something that is not available at DMM)

I got my Rolling on the Road BD, and this looks better than the Red Violation DVD. It still has a bit of that boosted look, but it's more natural generally speaking.

Unfortunately I cannot take BD screencaptures due to a complicated software mess.

I notice that "first frame" issue on so many films. It is distracting as hell.

The German Blu of Star of David looks pretty good. But I think it has been filtered somewhat... by who I do not know but they should have just left it alone. :down: Not sure if it is because of whatever filters has been used but throughout the movie the top of the frame is blurred kinda like somebody had just used the blur tool in Photoshop or something... I can actually see it in motion. Same thing is happening with the bottom part but not as much.



Oh and I haven't watched the entire movie yet but it seems at least the first frame after every single cut I saw is distorted. You might not notice it and in that case don't go looking for it because once seen it can't be unseen and it can be distracting as hell. At least one of the new Nikkatsu Blu's has the same problem, can't remember the name but is is one of those older interlaced masters (which is why I wonder if Star of David is an older one as well). As I doubt Nikkatsu gave Shock the access to the negatives this problem is Nikkatsu's fault.

I assume it is the same problem the otherwise great restoration of the Conformist has. Robert Harris would have probably given the image quality of the Conformist disc a 5/5 but now his score for the disc is 2.5/5 and "fail".

Ill get on those last 2 when I can, Yukihiro Sawada have been 100% hit for me so far so I guess there's something i should explore whenever possible.
