Thanks for the info! Turns out the guy was selling DVD-R copies of his DVDs, so I won't be buying them anyway. Unless someone can point me towards a place that sells the actual DVDs of Girl Boss 6 and Jeans Blues: No Future for a decent price :)

You are right, I meant to mention that I am not 100% sure that they are still active. No updates for 9 months (I think) and I have no idea if they have anything else up their sleeves. There was some bitching back when they had a discussion forum about them "stealing" fansubs that others had done, so I don't know if they are really involved in subbing stuff. I imagine torrent sites are the way to go, but I have no acumen with that nonsense.

Of course I would prefer if someone like Synapse would get back to releasing Toei stuff.
As I am not actually involved in any of the argument, I would say that purchasing a rare DVD that would probably never get a release outside Japan, getting it professionally fansubbed and then releasing it to a group of hardcore fans who would not get a chance to see it with subs is SLIGHTLY better than charging people for what is basically a downloaded torrent.........so BOTH are not exactly legit....but one is SLIGHTLY more forgivable than the other...MAYBE...i think the idea of CHARGING more than 10 bucks for it is a slap in the face...but I guess that is the free market ideal..if people did NOT buy the DVDRs from them...then they wouldn't sell them....

I am in the same boat as you. I got the Arrow releases (including BLIND WOMAN'S CURSE back in April) and am hopeful for more from them in the future. SUPER GUN LADY and VIOLENCE SWEEPER were the Japanese DVDs with no subs. Both were enjoyable, particularly SGL, although when I revisited it recently I was not as impressed. That's it. Kurotokagi dropped a ton of new release in October, but nothing relevant.

There was a pretty explicit hint that more Meiko Kaji was on the way from Arrow on the last page of the 'Stray Cat Rock' box set booklet, though no titles were mentioned, i'm guessing it might be 'Mini Skirt Lynchers' as they are currently releasing Nikkatsu titles, however i'd love to be proved wrong and see some Toei titles from them.......imagine the riches !!!

Wow, I mistakenly thought MINI SKIRT LYNCHERS was a Toei film. It would be fantastic to finally see it. If Toei wants an unrealistic amount of money for their titles, but Nikkatsu is playing ball, maybe we could get some Junko Natsu titles as well. (BAD GIRL MAKO, the "Girls' Junior High movies," etc.) Would also love to someday see the Daiei girl juvenile delinquent films, even though they may be terrible.
