Glad it's a new HD transfer, but these Diskotek Pinky Violence releases look barebone and underwhelming. Not even archival extras. Do they have reversible cover art?

They are barebones they are priced accordingly. I've been getting them for under $20 shipped from Crunchyroll. The slipcover is a nicer material than you'd expect based on pictures. Its not Vinegar Syndrome, but slightly better than Shout Factory. Vestron has a slightly better slipcover as well. They do have reversible cover art.

Pinky Violence fans should support Discotek. I'd love to get super deluxe UHDs but for now I'll be thrilled with reasonably priced English friendly releases.

Thank you for the information. Is the reversible cover original poster art? Back in the day, I'd grab these no questions asked but with shelf space at a premium and international shipping, it gets hard to justify. Crunchy Roll doesn't ship overseas. When there's loaded UHD sets available for around $35USD shipped, barebone boutique releases($20-25 on Amazon plus $10ish for shipping) just aren't as appealing. Even when I adore the films

Does anyone know what's going on with this release? It's been listed as out of print at both Crunchyroll (Discotek's official store) and Diabolik for months now. Did they print too few discs and instantly sold out or is something else behind all this? I tried to ask Discotek directly but received no reply. There's some joker on ebay right now selling a copy for $600, which is wild for something that came out 4 months ago.

I managed to buy a copy from Diabolik a few months ago, but prior to that it seemed to be going in and out of stock a lot, as if they were only getting a few copies at a time.

Haven't seen it (or the other Discotek Japanese film releases) on sale at any of the other site/shops I regularly check for US discs.

No idea what the situation is, but they could definitely do some work on upping their distribution a bit and/or on ordering bigger print runs, I suspect?

I've been checking Crunchyroll numerous times a week for months. I've been concerned for awhile so last week I bought a copy from Amazon and was lucky enough to get a pristine copy. I have a couple a dozen items on my Crunchyroll Wishlist, many of which come in and out of stock regularly. Sex and Fury has been the only one that seems permanently OOS.
