I have no idea what this film is, but I'm up for it.

Just finished going through Golden Ninja's 'Thrilling Bloody Sword' disc, and it's a fantastic, utterly crazy time.

Though obviously not perfect, using new scans of theatrical prints is a HUGE step forward for them over old VHS rips, and likely represents the best-looking versions we'll ever see of these very obscure films.

Mine is on the way, but I haven't had any updates beyond the shipping label. Ordered this with THRILLING SWORD and IRON DRAGON. I have this on DVD but it's cut. I once found a longer version streaming that played noticeably better. Definitely looking forward to this.

Just skimmed it. The opening scene is really dark but it improves after that. Compression isn't amazing but it's not horrible.

That looks fine. I'm really looking forward to watching this now. I must learn why that guy has a skull on his shoulder.

Maybe it wouldn't fit in his nose.

"Now you are the no-armed boxer"

This film is a lot of fun. The print is far from perfect but is very colorful and detailed. The story is quite linear. Lady Heartless goes from episode to episode seeking vengeance against the men who killed her father. The twist is that those who stand in her way are characters made famous in other movies, like the One-Armed Boxer. The lead is the agile and charismatic Taiwanese actress Ching Lia. For some unfathomable reason in this film she is dressed in the most shapeless outfit and burdened by a dreadful hairdo. The cover art on the blu-ray makes her look even worse. As Justin Decloux’s excellent documentary on her shows, she was actually extremely attractive. There’s a second Ching Lia movie called Against the Drunken Cat’s Paw included in full-screen SD* format. I have not finished it, but it looks like an even better movie.

Does anyone know if these are real Blu-rays? I was interested in the two along with IRON DRAGON STRIKES AGAIN. I haven't bought anything from this label in a long time and looking at their current catalog it appears they've upped their game with some diversified releases, just wondering if they are legit Blu's and not the burnt bd's like their older releases. thx

They're BD-Rs. I think FREAKY FARLEY will be a regular BD but all previous releases have been BD-Rs
