As per Dawn Of The Discs, apparently postcard inserts have been found in a few recent UK Blu-ray releases, indicating that Arrow have it in the works for a future release.

The culmination of Kuei Chih-Hung's incredible filmography and a personal favorite. As tempting as a 2K remaster sounds, I'm not picking up a 14 film box set just to get this one movie I love.

Fantastic news - been waiting for a new release of this one for a long while, although I fear that trying to watch it in HD may actually cause brain damage.

I think Arrow will be missing a trick though if they just put it out as part of the next Shaw Bros box -- 'Boxer's Omen' has a cult rep which extends way beyond the usual kung fu / HK crowd; I'm sure a stand-alone special edition would sell by the woozy, psychedelic bucketload.

Fuck that then. I find 70% of Shaw Bros movies that I've seen to be completely uninspired. There would need to be some seriously good other shit in there for me to buy it.

The thing that annoys me is that Boxer's Omen is about as far away from the generic bad wig/studio bound/cheap looking weapon action of the majority of Shaw Brothers films that I've seen as you can get, so unless there are some of their admirably nasty horror films in there too, it's going to stand out like a spare dick at a wedding.
