Jackie Chan was already a star when he made The Young Master but this film took him to another level. He plays 'Dragon' who undertakes a mission to find his missing brother, and gets into plenty of scrapes along the way - not least being mistaken for a criminal that the authorities are very keen to put behind bars....

The Young Master was Jackie's second film as director, and he used it as a showcase to demonstrate just what he could do. And it remains a firm favourite of the fans, featuring some of the best set-pieces he ever cooked up. The black-belts at 88 Films are thrilled to present the UK Blu-ray premier of this true Hong Kong classic.

So a post at the Blu-ray.com forum pointed out that that the uncut Drunken Master II is available digitally from Warner Brothers on both Amazon and Vudu. But, and it is a big but, it is only the English dub and there is no audio on the end of the film because it was never dubbed into English. Hopefully this is a sign that Miramax's rights are finally expiring and that we can get a US Blu with proper subtitles.

That'd be sweet it WB got it back.

SYNOPSIS

Winners and Sinners (1983) - Five former prisoners form a cleaning company and endeavour to keep clear of crime, but inadvertently find themselves in the middle of a counterfeit money scheme, and now the Triads and the police are out to get them!


My Lucky Stars (1985) - The Lucky Stars are sent to Japan to help the police apprehend a gang of dangerous criminals and a corrupt cop. Of course nothing goes to plan, and a series of gut-busting and neck-breaking action sequences ensue, leading up to one of the best climactic fight sequences ever filmed.


Twinkle, Twinkle, Lucky Stars (1985) - Tasked with busting a crime syndicate, the Lucky Stars wreak havoc in a holiday paradise with their unique brand of high-kicking justice and outrageous antics.
