    I could be ignorant/naive, but I wasn't aware that they're allowed to open the package at all to ascertain the exact content if they don't have a genuine suspicion that something dodgy is inside. I thought they'd just put it in an x-ray scanner and it would just show up as a plastic case, but maybe only in airports they do that. Anyway, I will just my shipping fee deposit refunded and I will try my best to avoid mail forwarders in the future.

    • Technically they are opening your mail, which, should be illegal. I saw something not too long ago that US Customs can only open mail coming into the U.S. from other countries. They need a warrant to open anything mailed within the U.S. I would assume (and hope) that includes the USPS. I've heard the USPS x-ray's packages but I think that's a myth.

        I deal with that company, and the only way they would know what's in it is when you give them the option of consolidating multiple parcels to be re-packed into one box. Then they obviously would see all the contents of everything. Also the option of them snooping for drugs or something that they may be held liable for is also imaginable. Richard if you ever need help getting stuff like this I'm sure there are people here on this board that might be able to help you out, where are you located?

          He mentioned he was in Australia because I remember in a previous post, he lamented Amazon's new policy regarding shipping to Australia. Amazon stopped shipping to Australia starting on July 1. You can read about it here.

          • I'm in Sydney, thanks Mark C for the suggestion that some members on this forum could help out if I need to. I've bought many of the Synapse Nikkatsu Erotic Collection already, mostly from DiabolikDVD and Ebay, and so far so good on all of them (around 15 or 16 and counting). I do want to complete this collection soon, and just for the record I'm well into adult age in case anyone think I'm dodgy The only reason that I used a mail forwarder for this title "I Love it from Behind" was because neither Diabolik nor Ebay had it when I looked two weeks ago. I figured I had to order it direct from Synapse but of course Synapse can't ship to outside of the US and Canada so that's all what happened. Fortunately, as I searched on Ebay again a few days a seller in Australia actually had a few copies of this film so I bought it then, it should arrive to me very soon. I will get my refund from Shipito as well so all is good. :up:

              A depraved killer kidnaps schoolgirls and takes them to an abandoned freight container decorated with black and white images of his previous victims. He covers his captives with paint and shaving cream then violates, tortures and brutally murders them. The killer's life is turned upside down after kidnapping one particular schoolgirl who may have her own sick game to play with him! Widely considered one of Nikkatsu's most repellent films, LOLITA: VIBRATOR TORTURE is a brutal entry in the horror genre and “does for the marital aid what Tobe Hooper did for the chainsaw” (Jasper Sharp, Behind the Pink Curtain).

              Special Features:
              * Newly translated removable English subtitles.

                What is this, 1999? Normally I wouldn't hold a barebones release of a roman porno flick against Synapse, but in the case of this film there's a Japanese DVD that is absolutely loaded with extras: The UPLINK DVD from 2002 (!) comes with a feature-length audio commentary by director Hisayasu Sato, screenplay writer Shiro Yumeno and actress Kiyomi Ito, a 30 minute conversation between the same three (Sato/Yumeno/Ito) as well as poster, lobby card and behind the scenes photo galleries and the entire screenplay! I'm disappointed and I think that it's a massive missed opportunity that none of that was ported over! At least they are claiming that this is an anamorphic widescreen transfer, which would be an improvement over the letterboxed Japanese DVD. Unfortunately, I remeber the disaster that was FEMALE CONVICT 101: SUCKS and its worn-out-VHS quality transfer (but admittedly don't recall if that was advertised as having an anamorphic widescreen transfer as well) so I'll wait for reviews/screenshots before I make a purchase.

                • ^^Those extras likely aren't free for Synapse to use. Are they English-friendly, if not there would be costs involved with that? I'm thrilled and surprised this line is still cranking. It's doubtful that spending a penny more can be justified. My guess is that there is a set number of customers buying these titles regardless of quality and special features at this point.

                  • Of course there would be costs involved for both licensing and translation as well as the additional work on subtitling the extras. The line must be doing well enough since it's still going on and a little extra expense for one of the very few films of its sort to have extras available would seem to make sense, as it'd also boost the line's profile. Kind of like the BD release of FAIRY IN A CAGE during this line's first batch.

                    • They've listed Flight Attendant: Scandal as coming in April.

                        I wouldn't assume it's doing well. There were mentions that 26 more titles were in the works 4 years ago. And when it was rolling we could expect around 10 titles a year. It looks to me like this line is on life support.

                          That would certainly explain releases like FEMALE PRISONER 101: SUCKS, which was completely atypical of how Don May usually handles a situation where he's given a subpar master. The guy who sent back the ENTRAILS films and FAIRY IN A CAGE with a demand for a new transfer suddenly has no problem releasing something that wouldn't even pass in the days of VHS? Very odd indeed but suddenly understandable if this line were a sinking ship.

                          On the other hand, this line has always been very slow-going. The first 25 film batch was announced in 2009, the second batch in 2014. I don't think there was any year where they actually released 10 titles. Even if these films don't lose money, I have no illusions that they are anything other than 3rd or 4th tier in the schedule of Synapse. Compared to the big guns like SUSPIRIA, PHENOMENA, ZOMBIE or MANIAC and the number of copies they surely sell, these Nikkatsu flicks might as well not even exist.

                            2012 = 10 titles were released
                            2013 = 8
                            2014 = 4
                            2015 = 2
                            2016 = 0
                            2017 = 0
                            2018 = 4

                            Like I said, I'm thrilled getting what we are getting. Not surprising that Roman Porno isn't selling like gangbusters.

                            • I'm glad for every one of these releases that we get, especially the notorious ones, like this. I expected them to retitle the film on the cover. Let's hope Swedish customs don't open the shipping box when it gets here.

                              • Not even a trailer!??! haha

                                I'm surprised we get this & they did White Rose Campus. I mean, how the hell do you even promote such things? The audience is extremely limited. Let's just hope we get the Zoom Up: Rape Site and Rape! films before they give it all up.
