A poster on Horror Digital Forum (Post #29) just made a post saying he got an email from Image Entertainment that says they are working on the "U.S. version of GODZILLA 1985, and that a widescreen DVD/Blu-Ray release is in the works."

Not the best in the series by a long stretch but I could possibly pull the trigger on an upgrade if they do it right.

I'm finding out this may, or may NOT, be official. This guy on facebook told me Toho has "issues" with this title, and until they get resolved they don't plan on licensing it to any company. He goes on to theorize, either those issues have been resolved, or Image is mistaken. Either way, he does business with Image and will look into the matter next week. I'd still buy this just to complete my GODZILLA collection.
