I went into HMV for the first time in 15 months today (actually I haven't been anywhere other than a supermarket in 15 months). I had a £25 gift card from work as a Christmas bonus to spend so I picked up Erotic Ghost Story despite my aversion to the limited edition as it was effectively free. Very nice picture, I need to check my Joy Sales DVD as I don't remember it being as explicit, but I may be wrong.
I'm bitter, I'm twisted, James Joyce is fucking my sister.

Okay, the offending kebab shots were in the old DVD, just a lot darker. Unusual for me to forget something like that!

I watched the third one last night. Thought I'd seen it but clearly hadn't. What a sleazy little flick! The action was better handled as well. Loved the bit where the monk shrunk himself so he could crawl up a vag! Sadly no Hitomi Kudo though.

Did anybody get a chance to check out the extras yet?

Archival Episode of Celebrity Talk Show [今夜不設防] featuring James Wong, Ni Kuang and Chua Lam visit the set of Erotic Ghost Story and talk to the stars [45 minutes]
That one might be interesting, I guess, but I remain hesitant to double dip.

Oh yes, it's certainly interesting! Really just a drunken conversation that gets so politically incorrect it's jaw dropping by today's standards. I enjoyed it in a wtf fashion, but it's not essential unless you want a lot of conversation about tits and anecdotes about Chow Yun Fat. It's not going to enhance anyone's understanding or appreciation of the movie.

Coming 9/23/24 in the UK from 88 Films.

"This triple-bill of paranormal perversion delivers everything you’d want from a Category III movie, plus a bit more besides. In the first tale from Story of Ricki director Ngai Choi Lam, a trio of sexy spirits fall for the same hunk. The second movie, the directorial debut of Peter Ngor has the God of Carnal Desire, God Wu Tung on a quest for revenge after his favourite conquest is zapped by other god like beings and in the third piece from Kai-Ming Lai, a man journeys into the afterlife only to be greeted by a very powerful woman. A trilogy like no other, this one hits the spirited saucy spot.:

I'd buy a stand-alone of the third one (already have the first), but the second is a complete turd. Proof that Anthony Wong would probably fuck a leper if paid enough.

Edit: I apparently have the second one too. Must stop late night smoking, it makes me buy shit.

Ha! The second one is my favorite. Love Wu Tung's genitalia cave set. But I'd also watch Anthony Wong fuck a leper, so there's that.

Haha, got to agree with agent here. The first one isn't a great film by any means, but it's a nostalgic 90s CAT III relic with some pleasant vibes. The 2nd film's got some of the same, yes, but I find it such a bore overall that I don't know how to get through it without the fast forward button. Plus I didn't have a clue what was going on most of the time.

I never saw the third one, but haven't really heard much good about it. Worth a watch?

So far I'm happy with my Deluxe Edition of part 1. I'm trying to get rid of my HK BD of part 2, but no one wants to buy it, dammit.
