I finally tracked down a disc of Brother Of Darkness, a DVD-R sourced from the Ocean Shores release. I'm fairly sure it was the uncut version; it ran 1 hour & 26 minutes.

It did not disappoint! Excellent addition to the series. Maybe not quite as sleazy as the first too, but I suppose that's subjective. It's still plenty raunchy and disturbing. There's not as much sexual violence in this entry, although it's still present. In some ways it's overall maybe even more bleak and depressing than the first two.

Lily Chung looks more gorgeous than ever in this, and she has a few lengthy sex scenes. Ho Ka-kui returns as the villain again, and this time his character is a total waste of DNA. In the first two films, he was a psycho rascal. In this he's just an annoying leech, although he does display a bit of dark humor early on.

So, now someone put out this trilogy of films on blu-ray with all the bells and whistles, please.

Eye for an Eye looks really good. Gotta remember to add it to my next VS order.

BROTHER OF DARKNESS is not near as good as the DAUGHTERS OF DARKNESS duet. Quite boring. Saw it theatrically.

I'd love to see HD's of BLOODY BEAST, LOVE TO KILL, and Dennis Yu's THE BEASTS (made prior to Cat-III classification, but definitely a Cat-III film). A RAPED BY AN ANGEL boxset would be warmly embraced, as would TRILOGY OF LUST 2.

That one isn't Cat. III but Cat. II.

I guess they included it in the box set because of Jamie Luk? Very misleading.

    3 on my wishlist:

Brother of Darkness - they brought Lily Chung from the 1st film back for number three in the series and switched directors from Ivan Lai to Billy Tang. I've never seen it, but the first two top my list of best Cat III flicks ever.

Fatal Love - various films use this title, but I'm referring to the 1993 film with Ellen Chan and Michael Wong. Basic Instinct rip-off with super hot softcore sex scenes. I have a crappy quality bootleg.

Evil Instinct - 1996 starring Carrie Ng and Diana Pang. A woman who uses a snake venom serum to stay young gets caught up in insurance fraud and murder. Again, I have a crappy bootleg.

And hell, while I'm daydreaming, I'd love someone to put out a Raped By An Angel boxset.

With the Shout Factory Golden Harvest Box (Sex and Zen, Erotic Ghost Story, Robotrix) about to street, I figured I'd bump this to see if anyone has an opinion on the following new/future releases:

Doctor Vampire (Shout Factory Golden Harvest Box)
An Eye For An Eye (Vinegar Syndrome)
    Horrible High Heels (Massacre)

Is there anything else on the way that I missed?

I would be pretty fucking happy to see Her Vengeance, Love To Kill, Daughters Of Darkness and Naked Killer get the boutique label treatment. Also, if Criterion has Riki-O, they really need to do something with it.
Naked Killer's a strange one. It was ubiquitous in the mid-90s but seems to have disappeared off everyone's radar.

Just trying to think if anything else has been released on Blu ray in Hong Kong. You can get some of the Raped by an Angel sequels, although I don't think they were actually Cat III. School on Fire came out there, although it wasn't fully uncut (more complete than before though). The Election films have been released, but they're only cat. III due to stupid laws about Triad stuff. Also the Sex and Chopsticks films which I haven't seen.

I'm glad Erotic Ghost Story is selling so well, as that means there'll probably be a standard edition which should be a lot cheaper. I pre ordered Robotrix when Amazon had it for 14.99, I wouldn't pay a tenner more just for a rigid box and paper based tat.

That might be the same movie.

There are some more but I can't remember any names & most come from or were made in Taiwan.
Kung Fu Cock Fighter sounds like something I need to watch from the reviews!

I apparently need to check out Love To Kill. What's the story behind Fatal Vacation?
Fatal Vacation is a very fun action-sploitation flick. A bunch of tourists are kidnapped by terrorists and have to fight back and escape. Fun as hell movie.
